We had a GREAT question come in yesterday, so let me address it here: if we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit, why do we need symbols or rituals?
I actually ENCOURAGE all the people with whom I have the privilege of working to USE actively both symbols and rituals. They help anchor us and remind us of God’s presence. We need them, simply, because we’re human — they help us point to the divine.
